Tim Harris and his wife Jackie retired to Northern Cyprus in 2004 having spent their married life in various overseas postings with the Military. Having served in Cyprus in 1968, Tim decided that the gentle pace of life and beauty of Northern Cyprus would suit him well in retirement and he is happy to pass on historical information and ideas for tours if required. Our aim is to provide a “home from home” environment where you can relax and let the Cyprus magic enfold you.

A Hidden Gem (13^th September 2009)

Tim and Jackie greeted us with a free drink at the bar and were very welcoming. We were off to a good start! We stayed for four nights. The room was spotless, homely and very comfortable (with air conditioning). The swimming pool is a good size; we spent more of our stay than we had planned relaxing in the sun loungers by the pool, surrounded by their beautifully maintained garden. There are only three rooms, which makes it very peaceful. The Villa is in a small village just 5 minutes drive from the centre of Kyrenia. Breakfast (continental and full English – we tried both) was delicious and is served in a small courtyard. Tim and Jackie have a lot of local knowledge and gave helpful advice on nearby restaurants/beaches/sights to see. We were sorry to leave!

If You’re Looking for a Great B & B – Look no Further (2^nd June 2009)

We stayed here for 2 nights during the 1^st week of May, before we set off to explore North Cyprus. It was a perfect choice for the two of us to get settled into the pace of the island thanks to the great hospitality of Jackie and Tim. Their cosy, yet high class accommodation allowed us to feel instantly relaxed. They organised our airport transfers and car hire – everything was cool! Breakfast was always enjoyable – virtually a la carte – and always informative thanks to the local knowledge Jackie and Tim were able to pass on to us for the days ahead. Staying at ‘Villa Mimosa’ gives you a real insight into village life with the narrow streets with various ‘local’ restaurants within walking distance – but a car is needed to get full enjoyment of the region. Lots of nice touches that make you feel at home – like a neat little ‘help yourself’ bar, ideal swimming pool, comfortable loungers, table tennis etc…So, there’s nothing really to criticise and we’re sure most people would agree.
